The World Health Organization (WHO) has determined that the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is a pandemic as of 3-11-2020

Here are two web sites to go to for coronavirus disease information (content republished from last month and earlier this month): The World Health Organization (WHO) “Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) advice for the public” (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public; obtained on 2-28-2020) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/index.html; obtained on 2-28-2020).

The new coronavirus outbreak is now a pandemic meaning the disease is spreading quickly. The head of the World Health Organization, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, made clear the pandemice designation did not mean that countries should give up trying to contain the virus, which has infected more than 120,000 people around the world and killed more than 4,300.
