At this time, details are being compiled in this “active, ongoing case” per law enforcement statements on CNN moments ago in which at least 28 people have been killed in Connecticut by an identified “shooter” primarily at a school.

US President Barack Obama, Jr. appeared to react emotionally and wiped back tears as he spoke to the nation about another shooting that primarily took place at a school today in which he stated : “…the majority of those that died were children…our hearts are broken today…As a country we have been through this too many times…We are going to have to come together and take meaningful action…”  The content did appear congruent with decreasing violence as did the content of what he said to the National Urban League on July 25, 2012 in the aftermath of the Aurora, Colorado instance of violent behavior toward people. However, meaningful action has continued to be lacking.

The US President no doubt is aware that powerful lobbying by such groups as the National Rifle Association have been instrumental in legal manufacture of so called assault weapons. Such assault weapon availability does appear to be a principal reason for the  the continued Intensity of Violence Against People. The US Leadership, collectively, has not apparently opposed the strongest relevant lobbyists such as the National Rifle Association.

The US President apparently unfortunately has not made combatting either violence or poverty directly a priority; if he has this author has not been made aware of such a priority in the nearly past four years of his Presidency.

The Hygiology Post Author has added “Revisited Speculation” to the above headline today which also appeared as a headline in The Hygiology Post on July 26, 2012 in the aftermath of an apparent instance of Intense Violence Against People in Aurora, Colorado.

The fact that so many people died (26 plus the identified “shooter” currently at the primary crime scene and another adult at a secondary scene for a total of 28) suggests at least one assault weapon was likely used in this apparent instance of Intense Violence Against People. The frequency of violent behavior instances toward people such as what has reportedly transpired in Connecticut today may not change with decreasing the legal manufacture and sale worldwide of certain weapons to the public. It does seem that “assault weapons” enable individuals to kill and injure many people in a short amount of time (Intensity of Violence Against People). Ceasing legal manufacture and sale of “assault weapons” in the US (And Elsewhere) to the public could reduce Intensity of Violence Against People.
