The Hygiology Post has identified that both the Mainstream Media and Mainstream Presidential Candidates have generally appeared to neglect poverty with some exceptions. The Melissa Harris-Perry MSNBC television show was indicated to be a media exception in a previous article in The Hygiology Post dated 10-01-2012.
The Melissa Harris-Perry program segment today appeared narrowly to examine poverty facts in the US, what has been done, and what can be done in a politically correct manner in the US. Regarding poverty in the US the program identified the following information on the television screen :
46.2 Million People Live in Poverty
21.4 % of Children Live in Poverty
US Poverty Rate Stands at 15.1 %
Poverty Has Gone Up 1.8% since 2008
It does seem that bold, innovative ideas are needed to address poverty and extreme poverty worldwide. The Voter Scorecard © 1988, 2012 could provide such a methodology to realize such bold and innovative and health enhancing ideas. Science (e.g., Senesco Technologies; https://www.senesco.com/; obtained on 10-20-12) can potentially concurrently provide another way to escalate the alleviation of poverty.
