There are numerous articles underscoring that US Police obtain training both here in the US and abroad and the tactics appear more like military versus deescalation techniques. Please see previous article in this online newspaper as well as for example (https://mondoweiss.net/2020/06/george-floyd-killing-highlights-issue-of-us-police-training-in-israel/; obtained on June 6, 2020) the article titled “George Floyd killing highlights issue of US police training in Israel”

Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders attended an anti-annexation rally in Tel Aviv by video and said annexation “must be stopped…” He also indicated that “In these difficult days, it has never been more important to stand up for justice, and to fight for the future we all deserve. It’s up to all of us to stand up to authoritarian leaders and to build a peaceful future for every Palestinian and every Israeli.”

MK Ayman Odeh and MK Aida Touma-Sliman invited Bernie Sanders to speak at the rally. MK Ayman Odeh said: “Just like Martin Luther King and his supporters in the United States, we must realize that without justice there can be no peace. And there will be no social justice if we do not end the occupation.”

Jesse Jackson, former Presidential candidate who beat out candidates Al Gore, Joe Biden and Dick Gephardt, among others in early 1988, when Governor Michal Dukakis won the Democratic Nomination, has chosen to speak out recently in Louisville, Ky against Rand Paul’s opposition (due to it being too broad in his estimation) to end an anti-lynching Bill. It is noteworthy that Jesse Jackson rallied with Bernie Sanders and prayed at the rally for a “miracle” for Bernie Sanders to win the Michigan Primary after endorsing him in early March of this year.

Former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney joined Black Lives Matter Protestors in Washington, DC and walking with a mask covering his nose and mouth said : “We need a voice against racism, we need many voices against racism and against brutality…We need to stand up and say, ‘Black lives matter.’”

And what has provided the energy for such aforementioned behavioral change mechanisms ? Well, you can not credit Richard Nixon versus Eugene McCarthy whom Erich Fromm supported in 1968. Perhaps the combination Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump (questioned in previous articles as an example of an extinction burst behavioral Presidency) combined with a populace in the midst of a Health Pandemic and Huge Economic Downturn focused for a variety of healthy reasons on the inequitable here and now can be given due weight for such behavioral change mechanisms that have been pushed into high gear?
